Toxaway River, NC

Probably my favorite run in the Southeast, this spectacular gorge is a remote little piece of California tucked away in the middle of western NC. With a riverbed of smooth bedrock and huge amounts of gradient, the Toxaway is packed full of large slides, epic portages, and powerful drops. Most of all, it’s ridiculously fun!  Myself, Eric Bartl, and Michael Ferraro IV drop in to experience this epic place.
