Bringing Kayaking to Indigenous Groups in Mexico
I had this idea — to develop kayaking communities in indigenous towns by epic rivers, in Chiapas Mexico. I’ve always noticed that these kids that live by whitewater naturally develop skills in the current. So imagine what giving them some boats, gear, paddles and proper knowledge, coupled with their own motivation might produce. I believe kayaking can change people’s lives.
Spent 10 days teaching with my friends Joel Kowalski and Isidro Soberanes, and this is the story.
