New Wave on the Futaleufu + Great Turnout Expected at the 2014 Futa Fest!

The latest news on the « Fu » is the amazing super spicy Moroco Wave just upstream of Pillow Rapid on the bridge to bridge section of the Fu. Despite strong periods of rain in the beginning of February water levels are expected to hold for the highly anticipated Open Freestyle Competition. Also, and as often on top of the usual suspect (locals, people working on the river and travelers), this year’s event will see the addition of world class boaters touring the southern patagonian rivers. Marcos Gallegos of Chile, Anio Serrasolses (Spain), Evan Garcia (USA) and Tino Spect(USA) on tour through Chilean Patagonia (Baker, Rio Bravo etc…). Those guys have been spotted in the valley training up for FutaFest 2014 and the for the Upcoming « Whitewater Grand Prix » to take place on the rivers of Ontario & Quebec in Canada later this spring.
