Marlene Devillez Joins Jackson Kayak
Three-time European champion and ten-time French National Champion kayaker Marlene Devillez has joined Jackson Kayak.
Devillez, who has been paddling since she was just six years old said she is excited to be part of the “dream team,” and benefit from the inspiration and camaraderie of so of the world’s top kayakers performance and inspirations.
“Jackson Kayak has the best boats for creeking and freestyle and they are always improving, always moving forward” Devillez said. “It feels good to be part of this group of passion-driven people who never get tired of kayaking!”
Jackson Kayak European Team Leader Mathieu Dumoulin said he was extremely pleased to welcome Devillez to the team. « Besides being an amazing kayaker, she has a great personality and does a lot to get more girls and women into the sport. She helps us to grow the sport through her love of rivers and kayaking!”
Devillez will be paddling the small Rock Star in both the carbon and plastic versions.”You can have your plastic to go have fun no matter how shallow the river is, and have your carbon boat to become world champion,” Devillez said. Having such a “sick pink color” was a big thing in her decision too, she quipped.
Devillez is among other Jackson Kayak team members planning to compete in ICF World Championships in Canada next fall.
