In pursuit of whitewater ferocity in the north-east, the boys land up in the Umtrew river, plummeting north off Shillong plateau in Meghalaya. And that’s where they experienced surreality. Big, steep, clean rapids in the middle dense, green forests. High water levels, multiple swims, a broken set of paddles and rumors of wandering wild elephants kept the excitement high throughout!
