the North Fork Championship – June 12-14th, 2014

The 2014 edition of the NFC – the North Fork Championship – will take place this year on June 12-14th, near banks Idaho (USA).

The North Fork Championship Whitewater Festival showcases the planet’s best kayakers, the freshest videos and photography in the world of kayaking, and the companies that make it happen.

The Festival kicks off with ‘the melt awards’ – an evening dedicated to those behind the lens documenting paddling through photography and film.

The NFC then moves up to the river and celebrates the talent and energy that is currently in the sport of kayaking. The best kayakers from across the globe come to duke it out on the mighty North Fork Payette for the title of the best big water paddler. The top athletes in the sport compete, however the format allows any charger to come win it all.

The three days of competition from qualifier, to boater cross, to the main event on Jacob’s Ladder will determine the festival’s highest honor, King of the North Fork Championship.

The NFC highlights where the level of paddling is today and confirms kayaking’s placement among the upper echelon of extreme sports. The weekend exemplifies the passion for the sport with intense levels of competition, but even higher levels of camaraderie.
